How proof review works

Good proof is specific, dated, and directly tied to the goal you set. Because the proof scope was agreed up front, review is not a judgment call about whether your goal was worthwhile — only about whether the evidence matches what you agreed to show.

• The proof scope is generated before checkout and becomes part of the commitment once you accept it.
• Your evidence should normally prove that the goal was completed by the goal deadline, even if the upload itself is allowed until the proof deadline.
• A timestamp, a visible result, or a record that clearly belongs to the goal period is far stronger than a generic photo.
• Upload only the information needed to evaluate the commitment — no more than is necessary to make the result clear.

Commitery currently uses an AI review workflow rather than third-party human referees. The review compares the submitted proof with the agreed proof requirements and can mark the commitment completed or propose a failed verdict.

• Completed. The proof satisfies the scope. The commitment closes and no charge is ever submitted.
• Failed verdict proposal. The proof does not satisfy the scope, or none was uploaded in time. This opens the dispute window rather than charging you.
• Review judges the evidence against the agreed scope only. It does not change the conditional amount or the deadlines.

A failed verdict proposal is not an immediate charge. You get a 48-hour product dispute window. If a timely dispute is accepted, the failed verdict can be reversed. If there is no timely dispute, or the dispute is denied, the commitment can become chargeable subject to the withdrawal-period and payment rules.

• Dispute within the 48-hour window if you believe the proof actually met the scope, or if something went wrong with the upload.
• A successful dispute reverses the failed verdict and closes the commitment with no charge.
• Even after the dispute window, the EU withdrawal period must still pass before any charge can be submitted.
