Stripe Connect

Stripe Connect provides the hosted onboarding and payout account used for Creator payouts.

These docs explain the product in plain language. The Creator Terms, Payment Terms, and other legal documents control if there is a conflict.

Connected accounts

  • Creators complete Stripe-hosted onboarding to provide identity, business, and bank details required by Stripe.
  • Commitery stores the connected account ID and payout readiness status, but Stripe controls the hosted onboarding and banking rails.
  • The Creator payout page links back to Stripe setup when more Stripe information is required.

Risk hold and manual payout

Commitery uses a risk hold before bank payouts so refunds, product disputes, card disputes, and chargebacks can be handled before monthly Creator payout batches are submitted.

Stripe requirements

Stripe can require additional information, restrict payouts, reject a payout, or close an account under its own rules. Commitery cannot submit a Creator payout where Stripe or Commitery billing eligibility is incomplete.
